DeValerie's parents instilled in her the importance of service to the community and leading by example. She is passionate about critical issues being faced by women and children, giving back to her community, building and maintaining relationships, and making others feel valued. DeValerie serves on the Board of the YWCA of Central Alabama, is a Sustaining member of the Junior League of Birmingham, a volunteer at Pathways Shelter and an Alumni member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

As the wife to Jeffrey A. Williams and mother to Alexandra and Austin Ward, DeValerie has worn a number of hats over the years. She holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Associates Degree in Interior Design. Her career path has been quite diverse, an engineer and supervisor with one of the South's leading utilities for over 23 years, interior design, event planning, and retail sales/management. Based on these experiences she has become an expert when it comes to reinventing yourself and building upon one's strengths. It has always been a dream of DeValerie's to pursue a career in real estate and now that she is a member of the ARC Realty Family her dream is being realized. DeValerie truly believes that Birmingham is a treasure, and she loves helping others discover its hidden gems.
